Description
An iron lamp post rises like a punctuation mark against the horizontal grammar of eaves and clay tiles in a historic Japanese district. Direct, unapologetic light strikes plaster walls and turns wooden beams into deep brown silhouettes. Blue sky stretches above, broken by slow-drifting clouds indifferent to the geometry below.
Not the Japan of neon and velocity. The pause between footsteps — the street itself a museum without walls, anchored by centuries of architectural patience.
