The Craft
The Craft
We don't put a face on the work. We put it on the file.
Sacraw is built around the footage, not the people who make it. No founder bio, no gear list — because neither is the thing you're buying. What you're buying is a real, downloadable master of a real place. So that's what we put forward, and that's what you can check.
The spec is the proof
For a studio that stays anonymous, the verifiable output is the trust. Every claim below is something you can confirm the moment you download the file.
You get the production master the studio grades from — not a compressed web proxy. Open the file and check it yourself.
Enough detail to reframe, crop, and finish for the biggest screens. Listed per clip, no rounding up.
Every frame was filmed in the real place. No synthetic plates, no AI scenes pretending to be somewhere.
We don't generate footage. What you license actually happened in front of a lens, in Toronto or Tokyo.
What you receive
The same standard on every clip in the catalog.
- The original master, not a copy. You download the same production-grade ProRes 422 HQ source file the studio edits from — no re-encode, no watermark, no quality loss.
- 4K to 8K resolution. Real detail, real latitude in the grade. Resolution is listed on each clip.
- Shot on location. Filmed in the real place, on a real day. Never AI-generated, never synthetic.
- Instant download. Delivered by download link immediately after purchase — nothing ships, nothing waits.
- One purchase, every project. A one-time purchase and a lifetime license. No subscription, no credits, no recurring fees.
Shot-on-location discipline
Every Sacraw clip is filmed in the place it shows. We go to Toronto. We go to Tokyo and across Japan. We wait for the light, the weather, and the moment — and we only keep the frame when the place is genuinely itself.
No synthetic skies, no composited landmarks, no AI scenes pretending to be somewhere. If a clip says Toronto, it is Toronto.
Locations are chosen on purpose and returned to in different seasons and light — which is why the same city shows up at golden hour, after dark, and in autumn color.
We don't generate footage. It's a line we don't cross, because it's the whole reason the footage is worth licensing.
The color pipeline
The look is made in the grade, on purpose, by hand — not pulled off a preset shelf.
We color from the original high-resolution source, so the latitude is real and the result holds up at 4K–8K.
Color is matched across a collection so footage from different days and times cuts together cleanly in your edit.
What ships is the finished ProRes 422 HQ file — no re-encode between the studio's timeline and yours, no quality lost on the way to you.
From capture to catalog
A plain description of how a clip gets to the site.
- Capture on location. Filmed in the real city, chosen for the moment and the light.
- Cull hard. Most of what's filmed never makes the site. Only frames that hold up get carried forward.
- Grade in-house. Color and finish are done by the studio, to a consistent house standard.
- Master to ProRes 422 HQ. We export the production master — the file you'll actually download.
- Catalog honestly. Each clip is tagged with its real location, resolution, and orientation, so the product page matches the file.
- Deliver instantly. On purchase, you get the master by download link — no proxy, no watermark, no wait.
Anonymous studio, accountable file. You're not buying a process you can't see — you're buying a master you can open and check.
Honest answers
Why don't you say who's behind Sacraw, or what you shoot on?
Because neither is what you're licensing. The studio is built around the work — a real, downloadable ProRes 422 HQ master of a real place. We put that forward instead, because that's the part you can verify.
How do I know it's not AI?
Because we film it. Every clip is shot on location in Toronto, Tokyo, or elsewhere in Japan — real place, real day. We don't generate footage, and we never will.
Is the look added later or "baked in"?
We grade by hand from the original master to a consistent house look, then export the graded ProRes 422 HQ master — and that graded master is exactly what you download.
