Frequently Asked Questions
Everything You Need to Know
File specs, licensing rights, and delivery — answered in plain language.
Files & Delivery
All footage is delivered as Apple ProRes QuickTime files — the same production-grade master format used in broadcast, cinema, and professional post-production. Full color fidelity, no lossy compression.
Every clip is 4K minimum (3840×2160 for landscape, 2160×3840 for portrait). Many clips are available at 5K or higher where the source material allows it — the exact resolution is listed on each product page.
After checkout, you'll receive an email from Fileflare (our digital delivery partner) with a secure download link. You can also access your downloads from your account page. Downloads are available immediately — no waiting for approval.
Yes. Every product page includes a watermarked preview video you can watch in full before buying — evaluate framing, motion, color, and pacing with confidence.
Licensing & Usage
We offer three simple, transparent licensing tiers to fit your project's scale:
- Social (~$29–$39 CAD): Perfect for personal use, organic social media (YouTube, Instagram, TikTok), and student projects.
- Commercial (~$79–$99 CAD): Required for client work, digital advertising, corporate videos, and paid web placements.
- Broadcast (~$199–$299 CAD): Required for television broadcast, feature films, OTT streaming (Netflix, Hulu, Prime), and global campaigns.
Every tier is worldwide and perpetual — no expiration, no territory restrictions. For full details, see our Licensing & Usage Agreement.
Yes — with a Commercial or Broadcast license. Those tiers explicitly cover work produced for third-party clients, with no separate license needed per client. The Social tier does not cover client work — see Pricing for the full coverage matrix.
You may not resell, redistribute, or sublicense the raw footage files themselves. The clips are licensed for use within a production — not for standalone redistribution or stock resale.
Commercial clips can be used in any context — advertising, marketing, branded content, and promotional materials. Editorial clips may contain identifiable trademarks or signage and should only be used in news, documentary, educational, or journalistic contexts.
Footage & Quality
Our current library features footage from Toronto, Canada and Japan (Tokyo, Osaka, Mount Fuji, Hakone). New locations are actively being scouted — the catalogue grows regularly.
No. Sacraw Studios isn't a marketplace. Every clip is captured on location and passes a narrow, discerning eye before it lands in the library. Third-party submissions aren't accepted — the priority is coherence, not volume.
New clips are added after each shoot — typically in batches following location trips. Follow us on social media or subscribe to our newsletter for announcements on new releases.
Some clips are shot natively in log. If you need the flat profile for a specific clip, contact us and we'll let you know if an ungraded delivery is available.
Prints & Shipping
Every image is available as a museum-quality poster, a framed print with premium matting, or a gallery-wrapped canvas. Sizes range from 12×18″ to 24×36″ depending on format.
Each print is produced by our professional production partner — a dedicated print-on-demand facility with locations in North America and Europe. Every order is printed on archival-grade materials, inspected for quality, and shipped directly to you. While we work closely with our production partner to ensure timely delivery, production and shipping timelines may vary by region and demand.
Production typically takes 2–5 business days. Shipping times depend on your location — domestic orders usually arrive within 5–10 business days, international within 10–20. Every order ships with tracking. We aim for the fastest turnaround possible, but because prints are made to order, occasional delays may occur during peak periods.
Orders over $99 ship free. Shipping costs for smaller orders are calculated at checkout based on your location and selected format.
We stand behind every print we sell. If your order arrives damaged or defective, contact us within 14 days with a photo of the issue and we will arrange a replacement at no cost. Replacements go through the same quality-controlled production and shipping process.
Because each print is produced to order specifically for you, we cannot accept returns for change of mind. If there is a quality or fulfillment issue, we will make it right — reach out and we will take care of it.
