Description
A black Impala sits low against the curb on a Kensington Market side street — chrome catching the afternoon sun in hard, clean lines while the neighbourhood spills color behind it. Yellow-painted brick, sticker-bombed utility poles, bicycles locked to anything that stands still. The car belongs to another decade but the street refuses to pick just one.
Toronto in summer, where every block curates itself without trying. The convertible top is down and the license plate reads like an inside joke. There is a warmth here that has nothing to do with the weather — it lives in the clutter, the worn sidewalks, the way a sixty-year-old car looks completely at home among the chaos.
