Description
Two figures move through a tunnel of illuminated maple — branches arching overhead in layers of crimson, gold, and deep burgundy. Shrine lanterns cast warm pools across the gravel path, catching the women mid-stride in that particular posture of shared experience, heads tilted toward the canopy.
Autumn light-up at a Shinto shrine. The kind of evening that makes you look up and slow your step. Overhead, the maples burn with an intensity that feels borrowed — a week of this, maybe two, before the branches go bare and the lanterns come down.
