Licensing, in plain English

Licensing

Buy it once. Use it for life.

No subscriptions. No credits. No recurring fees. When you buy a clip from Sacraw, you own a license to use it — for as long as you like, anywhere in the world. This page explains what that means in plain English, with real examples.

"Can I use this for…"

The fastest way to know if a clip works for your project. If your use isn't here, ask us — we answer plainly.

Yes — covered by every license

…my wedding film or a personal travel video?

Yes. Personal projects are covered from the entry license up.

…a school, university, or non-commercial training course?

Yes. Educational and non-commercial training use is covered.

…my personal YouTube channel — even if it's monetized?

Yes. The entry license covers monetized personal channels under 100,000 subscribers. Above that, the Commercial license covers any channel size.

…my showreel or portfolio when I'm looking for work?

Yes. Personal reels and showreels used to seek employment or freelance work are covered.

Yes — with a Commercial or Broadcast license

…client work I'm delivering to a paying brand? Commercial

Yes, with the Commercial license — for one named end-client brand per purchase.

…a paid ad or boosted social post? Commercial

Yes, with the Commercial license, up to USD $50,000 in media spend per campaign. Larger campaigns and broadcast move up to the Broadcast license.

…a TV commercial, streaming original, or theatrical release? Broadcast

Yes, with the Broadcast license. This tier is built for broadcast, streaming, theatrical, and large-scale out-of-home use.

…a billboard or transit ad? Broadcast

Yes, with the Broadcast license, which covers out-of-home advertising.

Three licenses. One file.

The footage itself is identical across tiers — the original ProRes 422 HQ master either way. What changes is the legal permission for what you do with it. Pick the tier that matches your project; upgrade later by paying the difference.
